Filter Cells
Lombarda Filtri offers a complete range of filter cells with different filtering media (synthetic fibre, fiberglass, metallic mesh) and cardboard or metal sheet frames, covering a wide spectrum of HVAC applications.
Our Filter Cells
CK – CS Flat Cells
Medium-high gravimetric efficiency. Made with a self-extinguishing synthetic fibre filter mat held between two galvanized wire meshes and enclosed in a galvanized steel frame. Moderately regenerable by washing, suitable for retaining coarse dust particles.
CM – CM/ZN – CX Cells
Medium-low efficiency, robust structure. Made with a labyrinth-structured filter mat composed of multiple layers of flat metallic mesh held between two grids. Regenerable by washing, ideal for coarse dust. Oil impregnation can increase particle adhesion and significantly improve efficiency.
DF Cells
Disposable medium-efficiency filter cells with progressive-density synthetic or fiberglass mats, contained in die-cut cardboard frames. The absence of metal parts makes disposal by incineration easy.
CZ – CZQ – CZS Cells
Corrugated medium-high efficiency filter cells, economical and resistant. Made with self-extinguishing synthetic media (F1 DIN 53438), held by galvanized wire meshes and galvanized steel frames. Pleating increases the filtering surface up to three times. Moderately regenerable by washing, used for coarse dust and as prefiltration before higher-efficiency filters.
DP Cells
Pleated medium-high efficiency filter cells with synthetic filter media supported by metal mesh and contained in moisture-resistant die-cut cardboard frames. Pleating ensures a high ratio between effective and frontal surface (from 2× for 23 mm cells to 6× for 98 mm cells). Available in self-supporting versions suitable for incineration, with efficiencies up to ISO ePM10 55%.
Mini-Pleat Cells
Compact high-efficiency filter cells made with micro-glass fibre paper packs with narrow pleats separated by continuous thermoplastic thread. Available models: DP/6, DP/7, DP/8, DP/9 MET, with galvanized steel frames. Maximum operating temperature: approx. 90°C. Non-standard sizes available.
Applications of Filter Cells
Filter cells from Lombarda Filtri are used in numerous contexts:
Hotels
ensure healthy environments for guests and staff.
Hospitals
contribute to air sanitation in wards and operating theatres.
Shopping centres
improve air quality in high-traffic commercial areas.
Museums
protect artworks and delicate artefacts from airborne contamination.
Industries
support production processes by reducing airborne impurities.
Offices
create healthier and more comfortable workspaces.
Painting systems
maintain process quality and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Private homes
improve ventilation, air quality, and reduce dust and allergens.
Technical Features
Lombarda Filtri products combine construction quality, innovation, and compliance with international standards. Technical specifications ensure clean air, safety, and reliable performance in industrial and civil HVAC systems.
CK cells: ISO Coarse 35% and ISO Coarse 55% (G2–G3). CS cells: ISO Coarse 65% (G4).
Applications
Suitable for coarse dust (PM10). Used in fan-coil units, ventilation systems, AHUs, hot-air generators, and as prefilters before higher-efficiency filters (pocket filters, rigid pockets, activated carbon filters).
Installation & Maintenance
Installable on C-rails or front-access frames. Replace or regenerate at approx. 200 Pa. Cleaning: shaking (dry coarse dust), reverse air blowing, or washing with warm water and detergent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Depends on:
– System type
– Required efficiency class
– Airflow and velocity
– Operating conditions
– Maintenance mode (regenerable vs disposable)
Based on final pressure drop and contamination level. Heavy applications require monthly or quarterly cycles; civil HVAC systems may allow longer intervals. Energy efficiency improves with new filters.
Both exist:
– Metal and some synthetic cells can be washed.
– Synthetic mats may felt after washing, altering performance.
– Fiberglass mats, pocket filters, and high-efficiency filters are not regenerable.
